Sudhir Yadav (India), Scientist at Crop and Environmental Sciences Division (CESD) on August 1. He conducts experimental, adaptive and farmer-participatory research on management options to increase the land and water productivity of irrigated rice and rice-based cropping systems, primarily in southern and eastern India. His office is located at DL Umali Building.

Paul Norman Fox (Australia), Scientist at IRRI Bangladesh Office (IBO) on August 1. He provides strategic leadership and enables effective management of IRRI’s major research and development programs in Bangladesh, with a particular emphasis on agricultural development in southern Bangladesh.

Eugenia Tenorio (Philippines), Junior Specialist at Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology (PBGB) on August 1. She conducts research and supports the development of technologies, processes and systems for end-users. Her office is located at NC Brady Building.

Un-Sang Yeo (Korea), Scientist at Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology (PBGB) on August 5. He is working on increasing the productivity of japonica rice in tropical areas in cooperation with Korea Project on International Agriculture (KOPIA) Center in the Philippines or other countries aiming for Korean ODA Project. Sherwin Pineda (Philippines), Senior Specialist at Communication and Publications Services (CPS) on August 12. He contributes to the development of a plan for the Institute’s web system in line with and supporting the overall communication strategy of IRRI. His office is located at RP Cantrell Building.  

Elemarie Rosellon (Philippines), Specialist at Public Relations (PR) on August 14. She supports in the production of communication materials to disseminate IRRI knowledge and technologies. She establishes and maintains internal and external contacts and recommends and enforces standards for communication products.  Her office is located at FF Hill Building.

Ramkumar Gandhimani (India), Postdoctoral Fellow at Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology (PBGB) on August 22. He develops a comprehensive incorporation of yield enhancing genes into an elite Indica Rice cultivars and hybrid parental line by using genomic tools and marker assisted breeding towards production of a new ideotype of rice with high yield potential. His office is located at NC Brady Building.

Suchit Shrestha (Nepal), Postdoctoral Fellow at Crop and Environmental Sciences Division (CESD) on August 26. He analyzes the phenomics and genetic control of lodging resistance traits and their trade-offs with yield potential, through physiological experimentation, trait phenotyping, and a genome-wide association approach. His office is located at DL Umali Building.

Erica Banasihan (Philippines), Junior Specialist at Crop and Environmental Sciences Division (CESD) on August 27. She conducts research and support the development of technologies, processes and systems for end-users. Her office is located at DL Umali Building.

Regina Armiendo (Philippines), HRS Business Partner, Human Resource Services (HRS) on August 27. She operates at the senior HRS level and leads a team that provides a consistent and structured organization-wide approach to learning and career development for IRRI's national and international workforce at HQ and Country Offices. Her office is located at FF Hill Building.

Erwin Talambayan (Philippines), Assistant at Supply Chain Services (SCS) on August 27. He is responsible for the receipt of deliveries from the suppliers and service providers, documentation, proper handling and storage and dispatch of non-stock items and outbound shipments. His office is located at Service Building.
