More employees are joining, moving around, and advancing

Rechard Formaran (Philippines), Technician II-Research at Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology (PBGB) on April 2. He assists in conducting field experiments of breeding and research populations including seed multiplication of promising advances lines for submergence breeding program. His office is located at NC Brady Building.

Victor Bruce Tolentino (Philippines), Deputy Director General for Communications and Partnerships on April 10. Reporting directly to Robert Zeigler, he provides strategic supervision and oversight of the Institute's corporate governance, and host country (Philippines), community and local government relations, in addition to leading Institute organizational units. Joining him is partner Ma. Aurora and daughter Ma. Amanda and son David Joshua. His office is located at FF Hill Building, x2705. Salvie Mariñas assists him at x2213.

Takahiro Sato (Japan), Postdoctoral Fellow at Crop and Environmental Sciences Division (CESD) on April 11. Reporting directly to Sarah Beebout, he is working on integrating the quantitative knowledge and performance of rice technologies into a computer-based Technical Coefficient Generator (or Field Calculator) to calculate input-output relations of combined technologies and cropping systems. Joining him is partner Akiko.  His office is located at Kenzo Hemmi Building, x2342. Ellen Genil assists him at x2649.

Froilan Fule (Philippines), Officer at Training Center (TC) on April 16. He provides administration and coordination of scholarship programs (pre-arrival and in-residence) and database management for TC.  He liaises with internal and external offices, collaborates with different divisions at IRRI for training statistics, and coordinates the scholar's pre, post and on the job activities. His office is located at Swaminathan Building, x2484.

Generoso Dimasuay (Philippines), Assistant Manager II at Experiment Station (ES) on April 18. He is responsible for the general management, administration, coordination, planning and development of the Bioenvironment operations in ES. He liaises with research staff, senior management and other internal and external clients. His office is located at ES Complex, x2329.

Alexander Aringo (Philippines), Technician II-Research at Crop and Environmental Sciences Division (CESD) on April 25. He supports scientists and researchers in addition to operating and maintaining field and laboratory instruments and equipment. His office is located at DL Umali Building.

Kharla Vianca Mendez joined on Professional Service contract at CESD on April 16. Her office is located at DL Umali Building, x2617.
Bjorn Manuel joined on Professional Service contract at CESD on April 16. His office is located at DL Umali Building, x2248.
